About

ASTERA Estonian Sauna Culture Days in Narva is the promotion and introduction of sauna culture by organising enjoyable sauna visits and workshops. We encourage people to enjoy the sauna and offer inspiration to all by introducing mobile and homemade saunas and letting anyone who wants to try them out. Visitors will have direct contact with the owner of the sauna – the opportunity to find out about renting a sauna or ask for building tips.

Sauna Culture Days 2022 will feature the best of mobile and site-built saunas, cheerful people and new insights into sauna traditions, beliefs and modern techniques in both sauna construction and safety. Created for sauna enthusiasts, special event lovers and to bring foreign visitors to the region, this heritage event will take place for the first time – at Narva Castle. In and around the North Courtyard, with its powerful views and history.

The most beautiful views of the Narva River, the city of Jaanilinn and dozens of different saunas. The stone walls, the castle courtyard, the sound of the flowing river and the beautiful Estonian border town. One safe area with catering, refreshments and additional activities. Prize draws, public figures from the sauna industry and workshops offer various experiences.

Visitors to the Sauna Culture Days can enjoy all the different saunas, but don't necessarily have to. Do you just want to take in the noise, listen to the lectures, get active in the workshops, enjoy the competitions or let the youngest members of the family have fun on the trampoline? You're more than welcome to do so. ASTRA Estonian Sauna Culture Days is an event for the whole family, in a beautiful, wonderful, natural setting.

The Sauna Culture Days is one of the biggest sauna events in the Baltic States. We are friends of Saunakarika in Hiiumaa and the Otepää European Sauna Marathon.
